Ma whero ma pango ka oti te mahi.
This is the stripes on my sticks.
This means everybody has to work together to get things finished.
The curly pattern is called a koru. This means we are learning new things. We are learning to count 3 beats with the song. We are learning to throw the sticks and catch them. Whaea Sharon and Whaea Kristina are helping us.
We dropped the sticks lots of times.

Kaikohe
We live in Kaikohe. It is in the middle of Northland. We also call it Te Pu o te Wheke. This means "The Head of the Octopus". This is because Kaikohe is the middle, and all the places around it are the same distance away. It is the same distance from Kaikohe to Kerikeri and to Opononi.
Location:
Kaikohe, New Zealand
